Lebanon, N.H., October 10, 2022 – FUJIFILM Dimatix, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of FUJIFILM Corporation, and leading global manufacturer and supplier of piezoelectric, drop-on-demand industrial inkjet printheads, raised $65,000 to benefit four upper valley and Vermont non-profit organizations at its 25th Annual Charity Golf Tournament and Auction held on August 18, 2022 at Country Club of New Hampshire. Funds raised during the event will benefit Finding Our Stride, Make-A-Wish® New Hampshire, Mascoma Community Health Center, and WISE.
The annual event offered both in-person and remote options for participation and fundraising. About 130 participants, including employees, suppliers and other invited guests of FUJIFILM Dimatix played golf, bid in the online silent auction, and volunteered at the event.
“The FUJIFILM Dimatix family is pleased to support those in need within our local community,” said Richard Correia, vice president of operations at FUJIFILM Dimatix, Inc. “This is the time of year when we can enjoy each other's company knowing that it is for a good cause. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide a meaningful charitable contribution for the benefit of our community and look forward to continuing this tradition for another 25 years.”
This year, all proceeds will be distributed among the participating charities, whose missions are described as follows:
- Finding Our Stride empowers Upper Valley youth through after school running programs, boosting fitness, self-esteem and resilience, and connecting kids to peers, mentors and community.
- Make-A-Wish® New Hampshire aims to make a dream come true for a child with a critical illness in the Upper Valley.
- Mascoma Community Health Center utilizes a need-based sliding fee scale to provide medical services to patients in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont.
- WISE leads the Upper Valley to end gender-based violence through survivor-centered advocacy, prevention, education, and mobilization for social change.
“Make-A-Wish New Hampshire and Mascoma Community Health Center are repeat community partners of ours, and we were very pleased to welcome Finding Our Stride and WISE to the FUJIFILM Dimatix charity event this year,” added Correia.
“As we transition back into a more traditional school setting, the Finding Our Stride after school program helps provide some normalcy to students in a way that is engaging, inviting, interactive and fun. This program allows kids to experience new activities, while meeting new kids within their schools. Students work both individually as well as in groups and strive for success throughout the season. This program has kids move away from the screen and back outdoors experiencing the joys of movement and play,” said Jennifer Mourneault, head coach, Woodsville, New Hampshire, Elementary School.
“The Board of Directors, staff, and patients of Mascoma Community Health Center would like to thank FUJIFILM Dimatix for their generous donation. Their continued support of the health center strengthens our shared community and provides much needed primary care to the patients we serve,” said Louis Shelzi, Jr. vice chair of the board, Mascoma Community Health Center.
“We are beyond grateful for the support of FUJIFILM Dimatix through their annual golf tournament and employee giving. We continue to be amazed by the excitement and commitment level from all involve,” said Nikki Lyons Lahey, vice president of community outreach, Make-A-Wish New Hampshire. “This group is determined to make a difference in their community. We are fortunate that they have selected Make-A-Wish New Hampshire again as one of their recipients. Their support is truly life-changing for our families in the Upper Valley area.”
“Our huge thanks to all the employees and all the golfers who participated in this successful event to support four critical nonprofits. We are so honored to be included as one of the beneficiaries for the FUJIFILM Dimatix golf tournament,” said Peggy O’Neil, executive director, WISE. “It means so much to be recognized, knowing that they support our work and believe in our mission.”
